Measurement and Analysis

Many people recognize the importance of measures, and learned the different quantitative analysis techniques. But they very often do not know how to apply these methods in process improvement. In this 2-day workshop, students will work in small groups to walk through the entire process – from planning, setting the measurement objectives, to develop measurement baselines and models. Students will download Minitab and use it for data analysis.

Learning objectives:

Introduce Management By Fact, so that the organization will use data to make improvement decisions

The students will learn from case studies and exercises how to apply the measurement and analysis techniques on actual data

Who should attend

Although the exercises and case studies are based on IT projects, software development experience is not required for students. Anyone who are interested in measurement and analysis are welcome.

Methodology:

Workshop based

- 40% Classroom presentation

- 60% Case studies and Exercises

Through customized exercises, participantswill apply the principles of Measurement and Analysis in situations similar to their work environment.
